Spring is coming and every spare hour that I have is being spent at my beloved patch, The Scrubs. Today I heard the first returned Blackcap singing. What will tomorrow bring?
I know what yeh saying mate. Checking on regular patch and never knowing what will turn up is a fantastic buzz. I had a Little Ringed Plover waiting for me on Wednesday and today there were 2! No blackcap for me yet but Chiffchaffs have arrived:-) Look forward to your next post mate Shaky
Tommorow hmmm, for me probably fog Dave! Hope you have better luck! Mind you i have had my earliest ever Swallow here this spring, turned up on on the 17th March! True words indeed, for me the hallowed turf of the 'patch' is all that matters!
I have been reading all about you in the Observer, great article! I am sure most people don't notice birds, especially in the city! (apart from pigeons of course!)
I've recently been working on some bird related portraits, a series of portraits based on common uk birds, please stop by my blog if you get a chance!
I am David Lindo and I am The Urban Birder - broadcaster, writer, talker and bird guider.
My whole vibe is about getting urbanites to realise that there is a whole world of wildlife under their noses in the world's cities.
